Rumours Concerning Business Invitations

Every traveller wishing to visit Russia on a business visa must first obtain an invitation from a regsitered company in Russia.

To be totaly honest there are many opinons about obtaining invitations and some are true but many are not, so we will try to clarify these rumours.

a) The Official line states that only companies registered with the Ministry of Intertnal Affairs are permitted to obtain invitations.

b) There seems to be a trend in Moscow to get an invitation quickly from companies based in Samara. While these will result in a visa being issued however the traveller may have problems when in Russia.

c) Some Russian companies like to just type a normal letter and then stamp it. This was the case manyyears ago, but this practise has now stopped and the invitation must come from a Russian Ministry.

Our Invitataion Service

Worldmark Travel and it's Moscow based partner are able to offer it's clients a telex invitation service for most nationalities.

The telex invitation system allows our Moscow partner to send electroniclly your invitation. This generally works well and while it is slightly more expensive, it offers our client's the following:-

Flexibility - The telex invitation can be sent any Russian worldwide.However please note that some EMbassies such as Dubai do insist on having a stamped copy of the invitation.

No Extra Courier Costs - While a paper invitation is slightly cheaper then it's telex counter part. To obtain a multi entry visa you wiull need to get the orginal couriered by DHL to you. This add time and cost to your overall bill and should be taken into account.

Important Information

Please note that the above rates are valid for nationals of the UK, USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, All EU COUNTRIES plus most other nationailites.

We can provide invitations for nationals of India, Pakistan and China but these are subject to an additional fee.

How to obtain your invitation

The process could not be simplier. We just require out applictaion form, a copy of your passportt and if relevant and copy of your UK work visa.

These should be sent by email to us on:-

We will then send the request to our Moscow partner who will then start he ball rolling.

EU Nationals

All EU nationals are now required to sent to us along with the documentation mentioned above a letter from your employer comfiming the following points:-

a) How long you have been working in the UK
b) How long you have been living in the UK
c) Who you are going to visit in Moscow.

This letter must then be signed and printed on headed paper.
